Gold Coast bartender accused of raping a woman he met at work pleads not guilty

A bartender at the popular Gold Coast venue The Henchman has denied raping a woman who attended the bar to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Jared Ian Fairall, 33, has pleaded not guilty in the Southport District Court to one count of rape, that allegedly occurred at his home, which adjoined the popular Miami bar, on February 2, 2020.

The court heard Mr Fairall is alleged to have told police after being accused of rape, the woman had rejected him and he asked her to leave.
