Infected Sydney man slapped with $10K in fines after sneaking into Gold Coast

Police have hit a Covid-infected Sydney man and his flight attendant friend with thousands of dollars in fines after he illegally entered Queensland.

The 26-year-old man flew to Ballina on July 14 and was picked up by a flight attendant before they visited several locations across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

It is then alleged the man attended three shops in Chermside, where he used untrue information to check-in to shops on July 15.
